#iLearnPulaski s a detailed plan on how instruction will be delivered to ALL students when school is closed due to health or safety concerns. The plan calls for teachers to deliver content digitally, but also makes allowances for those students who may not have ready access to the technology resources necessary for this type of learning. Here you will find more information about iLearn Pulaski days.

Principal's Message

Welcome back from Christmas Break and to a new year in 2019.  It’s hard to believe that the 18-19 school year is half over.  We are very proud of the academic progress that our students are making.  We just finished our Winter MAP assessment and will be analyzing the data to make some adjustments for our students to be Proficient or higher on KPREP.    Something that is new this year is iReady Math which is a computer based instruction program that will help your child master grade level content standards.  Students will also be working on iReady Reading and Reading Plus.  Our school has made steady gains year after year in academic achievement, and that is our goal again this year.  In keeping with our vision of “College and Career Ready for All”, we have selected these strategies to focus on for continuous improvement:  Growth Mindset, Student Engagement using KAGAN cooperative learning structures, Explicit Instruction, Continuous Classroom Improvement system, relationships, high yield instructional strategies, and specific feedback.  Also, with winter weather approaching, in the event of an #ilearn day, students may access their assignments using the Google classroom, or by completing a paper version that was sent home in packets.  Staff members will be at school to offer support and assistance on #ilearn days.  Finally, we are excited to announce that our 6th and 7thgrade students will be participating in a GEAR UP Opportunities grant.  Five new staff members will be joining us in February and working with these students following them through high school graduation.  We are excited about the opportunities and experiences this grant will provide for our students.   We look forward to the second half of this school year and are making plans to "Finish Strong"!
