-Together Everyone Achieves More-

Hello!  Welcome to Northern Middle School.  I am so proud to be a part of this exceptional team.  I began working at NMS 14 years ago as an exploratory teacher of Current Social Issues.  I served as a Guidance Counselor for 5 years and this is my sixth year as the Assistant Principal.  I love my job.  I knew from the time I was in 8th grade that I wanted to be a teacher.  I love school and will be a lifelong learner myself.   I tried to find other areas of interest for a career, but my heart and each avenue taken led me back to teaching.  Northern Middle School is a great place to work and learn.  I look forward to seeing the students and teachers every day.  We have the most supportive parents and community and I count it a privilege to live and work in this community.  I have a wonderful husband and three small children, Koby, Konner, and Kameryn.  My husband and I both graduated from Pulaski County Schools and our children will grow up in Pulaski County Schools.  We have an awesome school and are improving every year.  We are ranked in the top 15% of schools in the state.  We are a 2005 KY School to Watch, and we are in the top 20 schools in the state in two content areas. Our test scores are above state average in every content area and we have surpassed 100 in Arts & Humanities.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve you through educating our youth.  We truly seek to be our community’s school of choice and will continue to provide your children with the best teachers in the state.  We also will continue to offer innovative programs and a strong curriculum with excellent teaching strategies.  I look forward to our continued partnership in building a professional learning community that is one of the best in our state.
