The Pulaski County School System in partnership with the US Department of Education offers the GEAR UP Program free of charge for Pulaski County School System middle and high school students. Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) mission is to prepare students for their “thirteenth year”. It is designed to provide students ongoing assistance and encouragement for the continuation of their education after high school graduation. The GEAR UP Program also offers informative workshops for parents to provide them with the tools and techniques necessary to assist and encourage their child to become successful in their academic endeavors. GEAR UP provides opportunities and activities to help show students and parents that post-secondary education is attainable and affordable! The Pulaski County GEAR UP is supported by many community businesses and organization with formal project partners including Pulaski County Board of Education, Citizen’s National Bank, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, and KCTCS. GEAR UP provides:
