Expectations for Class Change

These are the parameters for class change as established by the KYCID team.  Each team will develop a plan for class change within these parameters and submit to Ms. Hargis.

Class Change on Team –

Class must end on time

Teachers should be at their door

Dismiss one class at a time (order to be determined by team)

Students line beside the locker, single file

Class Change to Exploratory –

Dismiss one class at a time

Scaffolding down the hallway

Single file line

Teacher stops at assigned duty station and remains until all students are in class

Exploratory teachers will be at their door to receive students

Pick Up From Exploratory –

Team teachers will pick up students from exploratory classroom doors

Report to you designated door (determined by team) on time

Students will only be released from exploratory classes if a teacher is waiting to receive them

Students walk back to team classes in single file line

To Lunch and Lunch Dismissal-

Walk your class to lunch at the scheduled time following our hallway expectations

Periodically stop at stop stations on your way to the cafeteria

Remain with your class and supervise them as they go through the lunch line

Dismiss on time as scheduled

Dismiss one class at a time by lining students up at the cafeteria exit

Walk students back to designated areas in single file line following hallway expectations
