Student Technology Leadership Program
STLP is a technology based program that empowers our students to become more knowledgeable as digital citizens in our community.

The 2008-2009 school year was the first year STLP was lead by Ms. Lena Godby and Mr. Dale Dodson. It was a successful year for our chapter. NMS was represented with three projects during regional competition, two of which were presented at state. During the state competition in May 2009, Gerek Patrick and Sarah Price received Runner-Up awards for the Northern Radio project.

We expect the 2009-2010 school year to be just as amazing with our new projects Stop the Flash Vector and Cooking the Northern Way along with the continuation of Northern Radio.

STLP is open to all students interested. There is a sign-up deadline for enrollment this year (August 21, 2009). Please see Ms. Godby in the computer lab for an Application. Currently, the interview process is scheduled for the last week in August. More details will be offered soon. To be become an active member you must complete an application, go through the interview process, and be hired for an entrepreneurial or community service project.
