Protecting Against Dog Bites
Don't tease weird dogs.
Don't chase a dog or encourage a dog to chase you.
Ask before petting a neighbors dog.
Avoid dogs you don't know.
Don't run and scream around dogs.
Don't stare at a dog, because they take it as a threat.
Never stick your hand into a dog fight, even if one of the dogs is yours.
If bitten tell an adult right away.
Know what an angry dog looks like. Growling, showing teeth, barking, or biting you are signs of an angry dog.
General Safety
Don't let a dog ride in an open pick up truck.
Keep head and paws inside vehicle.
Check pets collar regularly.
Don't let your cat play with string.
Keep your cat indoors.
