The Student YMCA (formally known as the Y-Club) teaches young people leadership skills, how our government system works and the importance of community service all through hands on experience. During the school year the students will draft bills designed to better our Commonwealth and serve as delegates during the Kentucky Youth Assembly. In the spring they will draft proposals to better a country and serve as ambassadors during the Kentucky United Nations Assembly. There are several small group programs held during the year to help strengthen leadership and character building
Our students participate in several community service projects in Pulaski County throughout the year and some students give up 10 days during their summer break to do service work (Service of the Commonwealth) throughout Kentucky. The friendships and experiences they share last a lifetime.
“Leadership for a life time.”
